Pokémon Squishmallows Expand with Raichu and Oshawott Dropping This April

The Pokémon × Squishmallows collaboration keeps growing. Raichu and Oshawott are the latest additions to the crossover line, expected to land at the Pokémon Center and major retailers this April.

What's Dropping

Raichu joins fan-favourite Pikachu in the electric mouse lineup — a long-awaited addition for collectors who felt the evolution was overdue. Meanwhile, Oshawott represents a milestone: it's the first Unova-region Pokémon to receive the Squishmallows treatment, signalling that Jazwares is working through the Pokédex beyond the usual Gen 1 favourites.

Both are expected in the standard 10-inch Squishmallows format, though sizing details haven't been officially confirmed.

Why Collectors Are Excited

Pokémon Squishmallows have been among the most sought-after plush collaborations since the line launched. Previous drops — including Pikachu, Gengar, Togepi, and Snorlax — sold out rapidly and now command significant resale premiums. Raichu and Oshawott will likely follow the same pattern.

The Oshawott release is particularly significant for Gen 5 fans who've felt underrepresented in the plush market. If it sells well, expect more Unova Pokémon to follow.

Where to Buy

The Pokémon Center online store will likely get first availability, followed by Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Squishmallows drops at these retailers tend to vary by location — check inventory early and often. Pokémon Center exclusives sometimes include size variants not available elsewhere.

The Bigger Picture

Jazwares continues to dominate the licensed plush space. The Pokémon Squishmallows line has been a masterclass in combining two massive fandoms — Pokémon's 900+ character roster gives Squishmallows essentially unlimited content to work through. With Raichu and Oshawott, they're proving the line has legs well beyond the obvious choices.
