FIFA World Cup 2026 official plush mascots revealed: Maple, Zayu, and Clutch
The FIFA World Cup 2026 has its official plush lineup, and it's one of the most ambitious sports-merchandise plush collections ever produced.
Jazwares — the company behind Squishmallows — has partnered with FIFA to create the official World Cup plush collection featuring three mascot characters: Maple the Moose (representing Canada), Zayu the Jaguar (representing Mexico), and Clutch the Bald Eagle (representing the United States), reflecting the tournament's tri-nation hosting format.
The collection
The standard range includes 8-inch and 12-inch plush versions of all three mascots, available globally through FIFA's retail partners and online. Pricing starts at approximately $15 for the 8-inch versions.
Limited-edition plush and event-exclusive collectibles will be available at select stadium locations during the tournament, making them potential future collectibles for both plush and sports memorabilia enthusiasts.
Jazwares has confirmed that the mascots are made from recycled polyester fill — a sustainability play that aligns with both FIFA's environmental commitments and the broader industry trend toward recycled materials.
Why this matters
Sports-licensed plush is a significant and growing category. Major sporting events create time-limited demand spikes that drive both initial purchases and long-term collector value. Previous World Cup mascot plush has appreciated on secondary markets, with certain FIFA mascots from past tournaments trading at multiples of their original price.
Jazwares' involvement is notable — this is the same company that turned Squishmallows into a multi-billion-dollar phenomenon. Their manufacturing scale and retail distribution network give this collection immediate global reach.
With the tournament scheduled for June–July 2026, demand will peak in the coming months. Stadium-exclusive variants are expected to command the highest secondary market premiums.
